National Nutrition Week raises awareness of the role food plays in our health and wellbeing. This year, Nutrition Australia is encouraging all Australians to take the ‘National Nutrition Week challenge’ by preparing healthy meals every day for seven days.
For inspiration, check out the Queensland Health's Healthier.Happier website which features a range of delicious easy-to-make recipes. These recipes were developed in line with the Dietary Guidelines for Australians and include a variety of foods from the five food groups, are low in fat and limit added sugar and salt. The majority of these recipes contain one or more of the recommended daily serves of fruit and vegetables.
